Sorry my mind was elsewhere. Corected now. I've got a Miracle Man and i have to say I find it different to my EMG. With my EMGs I find it drives my amp harder and I feel it really growls unlike no other, and fast playing sounds like it has weight behind it. only problem is, when playing slower emotional pieces, I can't seem to get the EMGs to have any feeling. It's like playing a guitar patch on an touch sensitive electric keyboard. It's too much one dimentional.
Enter Miracle Man...
It does the EMG style extremely well, but adds a sort of Organicness to let you playing style shine through a bit more. The Miracle Man also tends to exchange the EMGs Upper Mids for more Lower Mids to give you playing a bit more weight in the lower registerd. This can sometimes lead to it not cutting through as well when playing with another guitarist who has an EMG guitar when playing leads. But when you're riffing, it will be your guitar that the people can feel in the pits of their stomach :) If you really want to keep the drive, try adding something like a Gain/EQ Boost switch when you really want to go for it. Kind of like Alexi Laiho does. Means you Leads will then match the EMGs and sound that much better :)
Does that help?
