Irish Tour Neck - Comfortably Numb 1st solo
« on: February 03, 2006, 06:52:45 PM »
Hi Everyone - Full Distortion requested a distorted clip of my strat so here goes.  This is the neck pickup through the flextone 3 again, this time using a Marshall Silver Jubilee model through a 4x12 with greenback speakers.  I am also using a Boss OD3 just as an extra boost with the drive knob set less than 1/4.  The backing extract was from a magazine cd.

Nice. Gilmour used his bridge pup for that solo though
However, great tone! I'm stuck between these and Apaches for my double neck I'm building...

Thanks for the comments - I like the more fluid bluesy tone of the neck pickup for the first solo, and then switch to the bridge for a more open let loose sort of tone for the second.
Regards
