Just ordered A-Bomb/Cold Sweat. But looking for a Versatile Ceramic Set now?

Ok, 100 questions later and I've just bought myself the A-Bomb/Cold Sweat combo. I'm excited as hell haha.

Anyways as this is an Alnico Set, I'll be using it exclusively for Power/Progressive/Instrumental Metal, as well as Hard Rock. So I'm now looking for a Versatile Ceramic Set for one of my Les Paul Customs. It's a full Mahogany Guitar (no Maple). Just thought I'd do this guitar up as I won't be buying my Hot Vintage Set for a few more months now.

What I wanted to ask was how the Ceramic Nailbomb compares to the Miracle Man? I'm not a fan of the Aftermath or Painkiller btw, so I just thought I'd count them out before anybody recommends them.

And how would you describe the Nailbomb neck?

When I say versatile Metal, I mean more towards the heavier end of the spectrum.

I just thought as I'm looking for another pickup set, for a different style, it might make more sense to start another thread. I just thought it may not get read if I was to write on one of my other threads which I've been talking about other pickups for other styles.

I'll try and make sure I don't start any other threads if I can help it by adding to older threads. I guess you just get great responses on here that it starts to get addictive haha. I'm actually on here more than Facebook lol.

Well I've ordered the A-Bomb/Cold Sweat combo for a Mahogany Strat style guitar. I'm just thinking a C-Bomb/Cold Sweat combo may be a waste of money. Of course if I fall in love with the set Ive ordered when it arrives, then it may not be too much a waste. I ordered the Alnico Nailbomb to have a more middy, organic character. I guess with this, I'm after something really tight (not Aftermath/Painkiller tight) to naI'm just curious as to how the C-Bomb compares to the Miracle Man, as I don't want to invest in another set if the differences are going to be very small between my current Miracle Man and Alnico Nailbomb combined.

He is asking for a different guitar - Les Paul Custom. I would not consider that spamming.

And Kiichi, the music I'm going for is a more faster paced metal. Kind of like none stop riffing, combined with lightning fast solos. I think the only time I'd slow down is for Breakdowns. I don't mean Dragonforce fast btw, but just very fast paced melodic metal. After reading the link that Darkblumurder sent me, maybe a Painkiller in the neck? For the Bridge, I wouldnt't want anything too dry, neither something that lacks in tightness either.

You know, with that description of style i would think either CS bridge or RY bridge (although not ceramic tight, but hey, nicely bright, sits well in les pauls, agressive and melodic) both should fit the style nicely. I just happen to own the RY and not the CS^^
 
For the neck depending on what you choose for the bridge maybe even a VHII neck? Nolly makes the RY VHII combo work nicely in Red Seas Fire and for at least what I understand as Melodic Metal that would be a nice combo.

I use my RY with a Mule neck to play things from classic blues rock to fast metal stuff like Trivium (though my sound is more classic, like some good modern power metal, the slightly vintage kind. Think less Dragonforce and more Edguy).

Also got an Aftermath set, would be great sides probably being too drie for you.

Great comment! Saw Edguy last Thursday :) It's kind of like  a Trivium shred I'm going for, as to Djent. But with the neck p/u it's got to have stamina.

With the Aftermath I researched that a lot and thout finally it is way too tight and dry for me. I'm kind of after a true Ceramic metal pickup where, as MDV puts it "Flows like wine" :)
