I'm looking for a set of pickups that are well suited to low tunings (I tune down to drop B and open B) and that provide exceptional split coil/parallel clean tones.
They'll be going into a Alder Tele body with a solid Rosewood neck and fretboard.
I've heard good things about the VHII/Rebel Yell set, but I'm worried they might be on the bright side. I was also looking at the Black Dogs as well, but I'm not very familiar with those.
