That does sound cool. I wonder what his Mum said when she saw those tattoos.
His mum said: "John I got the ink gun ready, you want more flames or or skulls this time around.

this stuff is amazing
never saw a guitarist play something like this
his solo albums are also creative and full of rich melodies
definitely a great piece of rock guitar

This is part of the reason that John 5 manages to get tons of exposure without being outstandingly talented in any one area. Because country has a very specific fanbase with very little crossover, people don't realise that the technical standards in country and bluegrass are huge (you should really check out the shred mandolin on Nicklecreek's stuff), and there are tons of players doing fast, technically challenging and melodic pieces using these techniques. John 5 is just selling them to the rock community as something new.

Thks Sifu Ben :D
I'm not a country guy to be honest but, yeah, i guess there's some good stuff and breathtaking techinques in that style.
the fact that J5 did that crossover is really awesome because it get rid of all that old " south flag" sounds to go electric.
I'll look forward to hear some new material soon.
His new album will be out in April, can't wait :P
