I love his outfit.
odd style that guy has - i really like it. His tone is rather terrible however - not so much there, but definately on the albums. Can't really do behind the nut bends with a locking nut :(

When I heard this guy was doing a shred type album I was excited, I don't really like Mansson or anything like that but that guy got a reputation of being a really good guitarist. A friend lend me some album and I wasn't overly impressed at all :? So yea there's some very good country style shreding (it's where this guy shine) but most of it was unimpressive standard metal indus with a litlle shredding over.
Don't get me wrong, he's good but not original and I'm sure he can do better :!:

he's been playing with Rob Zombie recently and has another band as well (name escapes me at this time). i much prefered his tone when he was in MM's band - love that dirty fuzz sound.

There's more to the man than just MM. His new signature guitar has a headstock that was specially designed for behind the nut bending. It's a cool technique, it sounds a lot like a B-bender.

How does he get that twang from a humbucker?

He's the only guy i've ever heard play shred chicken picken'. I really thought that Country/Metal was a pretty original idea, and he's using some very different techniques to most players of similar genres!

see stuff like that reminds me that pursuit of simple speed is quite pointless - there will always be someone faster than you, always (even if it is a 12 year old :( ). So in the end, its important to be as good as you can, not as fast.
There was a time when I'd see a video like that and it would make me question my abilities, but really, these days I don't care for that kind of playing, I don't enjoy it, I think it's quite aimless so I don't let it bother me. As I say, just my opinion - I'm sure other people like pop-punk-Pachelbel

yer ive seen that video before cause i was looking for tabs for that classical song for a laugh lol.... pretty stupid actually how someone could have that much spare time... i kind of feel really jealous but really sorry for him... basically i completely agree wth willo...

also i think extreme speed is a bit of a novelty and it would just get boring as most really fast stuff sounds the same.... not that i have anything against fast/thrash or anything but the insanely fast stuff is just pointless...

heres another guy doing the same thing... i think it might be some even faster stuff in some places lol...

I quite liked that video - those who know me know i HATE speed-shred, but i thought the actual melody of that tune was pretty good, and i liked the chorus how it kinda merged like power-punk with classical music. Wish i could play it.

Well he was indeed fast but unlike a lot of players, it was melodic. He obviously does have the time to play. It was rather like watching my son when he learned piano- by the age of 14 he was superb and it fair took my breath away.
