Feline does it again
« on: February 19, 2012, 07:41:24 PM »
I've been getting the desire to get into playing lead more seriously and having used my Charvel with its tiny ability for pullups on the floyd for a while, I decided it was time to extend the capabilities. Jonathan suggesting sinking in the neck along with the floyd as well as routing out behind the floyd. I played some of his guitars (which were all amazing!) and settling on a trem height I felt most comfortable with. Here is how it looks! Top job and a quick turnaround. Plays so much better now!!

Pretty damn good for what it cost! I need to get the pole pieces set more ideally.

nice :D

why'd you put entwhistle pickups in there? though from what i've heard they're actually pretty good for the money

i actually don't mind a non-recessed floyd as long as there's some neck pitch to accommodate it

Wow, great job... looks like it was always that way! I really like how much better a Floyd looks when it appears to be flush with the body.  8)

Did you particularly want neodymium magnets?

Yeah. I wanted to try them out. My charvel was also sat with no pickups in, since I used the nailbombs I put in it to stick in my edwards lp since that was becoming my guitar for taking on ryanair flights.

i know of other people who do neodymiums... rockmonkey does, for example. lot dearer than entwistle, though, i assume

but other than that, that makes sense :)

Ahh when we checked the only other person was Qtuner and they arent currently selling pickups as theyre revising the line or something like that.

The entwistles are an absolute bargain though. Loads of tone for barely any cash
