I think they're all hideous and pretty pointless.... but intriguing, nonetheless.

I loved Wasted in America. Their guitarist was a bit of a dick though. A bit Nigel Tuffnel when it came to his rack gear and the other artist/crew looking at it.

Was that Jon E Love or the shred guy they got in later, Darren Housholder? 

I know it was Jon E Love on Wasted in America, but he didn't seem, errr.... sophisticated enough to be too fussed about his gear.

When I saw the thread title I wondered if it would be something like this!

Have you ever played one? I'd be interested to know what the sustain and tuning stability are like with that neck joint...
