I am very interested in purchase a pair of P90 for my Squier Jazzmaster J Mascis. Before you say that the guitar is too bad to change pickups and I should've bought a Fender, I already own a Fender Jazzmaster and the Squier is better in terms of construction.
I only need some advice because I want a versatile guitar and I want it to sound like Jesus and Mary Chain, Slowdive, Smiths, Paul Weller, etc. and I want a Rickenbacker like sound. For that use, what is are the best pickups for that?
I use a Twin Reverb and plenty of ODs, Fuzz, Reverbs, Delays, Chorus and some other modulation and distortion pedals.
