A pig install direction question ?lead to low or high e ?
« on: March 14, 2012, 02:46:13 AM »
heya

was googling on A pig set ups and saw a thread asking which way the apig was supposed to be intsalled. I went by the emblem and installed with the lead at the top left on the low e side cause the emblem was right way up that way  . found a thread saying thats wrong it supposed to belead on the the high e side and 1 thread saying it didint matter

i thought it was weird the lead  was on the low e  side but that was the way the emblem made sense to me so i went with it

I emailed support but in case I get an answer here 1st.

does it matter which way it goes and if so do I have it the wrong way. sounds great now but if it matters wanna have it as designed ?

Thanks

so flipped it and it did make a difference for sure. It's a touch more aggressive and present and saturated the right way up. I'm pretty sure it's not in my head. Pretty sure . Just feels a little more alive after the flip, but it was great the other way too . A little smoother if that's possible for a warpig.

Damn this pick up is amazing .  I really like my nailbomb set but gotta say I think the A pig is what I was hearing when I bought the NB's . Can't even imagine what a hotter and more saturated C pig is like . Total destruction . I was worried it was going to be boomy but it's bass is way tighter and responsive  than the alternative 8 it replaced

Not rehearsing this weekend , got a mixing session instead , but gonna have to rock up an hour early withh my gear and get a room to rock the pig and see what's up with it in the real world. So far I'm super impressed at home levels.
