Mads Destructiion..

Either that, or we should go for a 3-letter acronym like PLF, MDC, ANB and all that, and call ourselves MCM (Mads, Christian, Mads).

You know, like ABBA..

Anyway, there is a certain disclaimer to be put here: The recording here is taken roughly an hour into the first rehearsal ever with the new drummer Mads, so if things are a bit messy (they are, really) that's why.

Lol. Mcm stands for Mine Countermeasures. My old job :S

Top flavour saver on the drummer :D

Get one of these http://www.dv247.com/studio-equipment/zoom-q3hd--79655

You killed the camcorder mic, all I can hear is dying mic.  But I'm glad there was no epic folk rock....

Our drummer's insanely fast. He's among the fastest in the country. He just left his old band Konkhra. That band's quite famous

The dreadful recording and untight performances aside...at its core, what it sounds like youre trying to do, I really like.

Thanks MDV :)

Considering this is the very first rehearsal with this fething young gentleman behind the kit, I'm very pleased with it. It could be a whole bunch worse!

That said, I just need to make up my mind how those riffs are played! I was more or less making it up as I went along, so it'll be a lot better once the riffs and structures sort of "settle". That's the beauty of a simple setup like this; Jamming things out is actually a viable option even though it goes on in 200+ BPM :D
It's going to be a very nice organic, straightforward process where we get shite done, as opposed to the painfully laborious writing process of my previous band.

I haven't been this excited about a project in years! Can't wait to gig and record with it!

Didn't the original drummer of Machine Head come from that band?  Or go to that band?

Just one of those random facts from the days when I knew a bit more about what was going on in the metal world....

Anyway, best of luck with the new band.  Not my kind of thing I'm afraid, but keep it up!  :D

BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

Glad you've found a format and workflow youre happy with. Should be good.
