I'm getting some new software soon,

 Which of these two would you folks recommend?;

 Toontrack Drum Superior 2.0  or  BFD 2?

 I am only interested in these two.

 Thanks!!!

What exactly is BFD? Is it cheaper than Superior Drummer?

BFD is pretty much the same thing as superior but with more tweakability options and a much larger and more detailed library.

I think its around the same price.

My actual preference is steven slate 4 which is currently on offer at $99

From what little I've worked with its library, I find it inferior to S2. By quite a long way. Cant comment on its interface, I've just worked on stuff with its samples. Invariably, I've used something else (toontrack, slate or both).

Must get hold of SS4.

I preferred teh BFD2 samples to S2 but i think that could have actually been due to the fact you can tweak everything so much that it gave the impression of being better.

I haven't used either for a few years now as you know so my memorys arent the clearest.

And you would be mental not to at the current price i actually think you could get it for $49 being a S2 user as they have an offer from people coming from different platforms.

Superior drummer, all the way. It sounds great. Its highly tweakable. The midi libraries are huge. You can buy superior as a download and they send you the boxed install disk which includes installers for the entire EZdrummer (the vintage rock EZdrummer is worth a look by itself) range. Once you have installed Superior and authorised it you can install all the others (it never prompts to authorise unless you open the unauthorised kit). All the midi from the other packs in then available to you.

i started out as a drummer then moved to guitar when i moved into apartments due to noise restrictions.

And the fact that when i played drums everyone wanted gutiarists.

now that im a guitarist everyone wants drummers....
