Wireless Systems
« on: March 31, 2012, 03:37:19 PM »
Hey guys,
My band is in need of a wireless system, could use some mobility and free up valuable stage space. We don't really feel like all buying individual units, so I just wanted to know if you guys know of any wireless systems that run like 2 guitars, a bass, and maybe even a few mics all simultaneously? Thanks!

well.. i mean.. how big are your venues and how much mobility do you need? are you going a-wandering thru the crowds? Personally speaking unless i was playing a stadium (unlikely) or a large large venue (still unlikely) i would think that it would be an unecessary outlay of cash and a tone suck. Stadium wise i guess there's more practicality because lotsd of cables = LOTS of tone suck and in this case a wireless will prob sound better. I don't understand how it's saving space in a small venue (if it's a small venue being played) because you're cabled into your amps right?

BTW i mean unlikely for me to be playing those kind of places, I don't know what kind of places you're gigging in.

Surely the pros use one system per performer?  I don't know of an all-in-one for a band...

I would just use the Line 6 G-50 units.

I donīt know if theres an all in one solution...
Iīd stay away from the cheaper shure units though, they distort the sound and suck a lot of lows.
I understand, why players want to become wireless, its much more fun to play and jump around the stage.

I second Doombuggi-The Line 6 units are good and reasonably priced.

Got me a g50! Very excited, decided to go wired route with mic as I won't be walking around much having my guitar and all. I highly recommend wireless for anyone, not really any tone loss, and it is so much fun to have!
