My good friend is looking to upgrade his Ibanez GRG 170 DX, Basswood Body, 24 Fret Rosewood fingerboard, HSH combination. I reccomended Bareknuckle, as you do, specifically 2 VHIIs and 1 Irish Tour. He's after a good distorted blues/rock sound.

Would these pickups work well with this guitar? Running through a Vox Valvetronix 15 watt practise amp.

Cheers guys.

The Crawler is THE blues/rock pickup. Combines well with a Mothers Milk single. (Geoff's setup)

He wants 2 of the new Holydivers and an apache, actually. Classic rock is covered by the HDs, while the middle apache should mix nicely, is my thinking. Yes, the guitar is less-than-blues worthy, but his tele already covers the twangy side of blues, so this should be looking more at the crunchier, rock side, if there is such a sub-section (which I debate).

Whaddya reckon?
