The Timeline is insanely great. Inspiration in a box I say!
For my normal playing I tend to prefer the duck delay. Subtle delay most of the time and strong effect to bridge the silence.
For Gilmour like stuff either the tape or the digital with filter and mostly grit set rather high to make it like an analog delay.
And make sure that you try the low-fi set to 2ms all the way wet -> Low-fi machine!
70s clock radio with a bit of vinyl on a cleansound and play the beginning of Wish you were here!
So many great sounds and settings...
I just need to get me a midi cable to update the firmware so the tap tempo is not that bloody precise....
Yeah indeed. I don't like Duck so much because it's so hard always to get the sensitivity levels right (I have mine in the loop and the send signal gets hotter if I turn volume on the amp up).
What I use mostly instead is "Digital" with quite some "Smear" dialed in, Smear cuts of the attack of the delay trails, so while your sound gets atmospheric, the delay doesn't get in the way as the repeats are kinda blended into it.
It really is amazing, I haven't even started to experiment much with filter mod and sequenced delays and all the stuff. But oh my, what an awesome lead sound I get with Digital and Smear, sounds totally like Gary Moore's rack stuff in the 80s!!
