NAD (Bogner) + Belated NCD (Zilla)

Seeing as there are a couple of other NAD's around here I thought I would post this, picked up a 20th Anni Shiva to go with my 20th anni XTC.

Had the Zilla super fat boy a couple of weeks and to be honest I am not missing the Diamond, no loss of thump as far as I can tell and less directional due to the open back (which is convertible should I decide I want to close it up)

The Suhr is about to get knuckled with HD's. The black PRS has Nailbombs and the Les Paul a Rebel Yell / Cold Sweat combo.

Wow now that is seriously cool!

I would go with that 20th Shiva - it's the one amp I have cravings for besides a Friedman HBE!

Nice choices - I see my XTC Classic left a lasting impression  ;)

I'd love to try the 20ths out sometime...

Really happy with the Zilla. I have had a couple of 2x12 over the last few of years, and Orange and a Purple Chilli plus I've played through Marshall's etc and they've always sounded poor compared to the Diamond, my band mates used to force me to take the Diamond to gigs as it sounds really good. My old bass player who is also a guitarist is convinced its the best cab he's ever heard.
Anyway, I really wanted a Bogner 2x12 but they are pricey, heavy and too big for the boot of my car so I took a punt with the Zilla, I was really interested in how effective the convertible back would be. I am so glad I went with that option, I've used the Zilla at the last two rehearsals and I have not missed the Diamond at all, the Zilla sounds just as good and is less directional (I have removed one of the back panels so it's now effectively open back). The XTC has so much bottom end thump I really haven't noticed any negatives with the Zilla.

We'll have to meet up when I get my Bogner 2x12 Daz, I've had one on order for ages but it should be here in around a month or so.

What speakers are you running?

Sounds good though

Speakers, in the diamond V30's and G12H's in an x. They compliment each other well making this a good cab for pretty much all heads. In the Zilla just V30's to go with the Xtc.
I must admit now I've got the Shiva with it being more upper mid focussed I would really like to try it with something greenback like, maybe G12-65's. I have toyed with the idea of golds but not sure if I am too high gain for them

Thanks for your answer, dazza. Seems like a Zilla cab is what's on top of my list. If I could only sell my old amp and cab...  :?
