Two similar at same time?
Well (long story short), got a lead on the "new" Ermengenza (prize Axis) and emailed the guy who won it. He did'nt get back to me, so I bought the trem Axis. Then, as always happens lol, the Ermengenza guy emailed me back saying his (thought) sale had not happened and did I still want it. It is one of only 3 ever made (not worried about the writing on it really and like the tribal design) for Ermengenza "Best Guitarist" winners. He sold it to me (he plays a "Lucille" and did'nt want it) as new with case, hang tags etc. for about YADDA pounds!!!!!!!!! Actually less than I paid for the used one (but only by few quid) so I jumped on it. These guitars retail for over $1,300 (bout 755 pounds)! I am not one to turn down a bargain!!!!!!!!!!
Also, one is hardtail (through body stringing and maple neck) whilst the other has vintage trem and rosewood neck. Basically got two for LESS than price of one. Could'nt turn it down is all :)
And, even though after a wonderful Luthier fret adjustment and set-up I truly love playing the Axis much more than my Gibson Les Paul (Jackson soloist is now a luthier for re-finish).
Sorry, tried to make it short lol.
