The Holydiver is awesome and is easily the best pickup I've ever used, however, if you want a tone that is aggressive, I'd maybe look at the Alnico Nailbomb instead. It didn't work for me (in case you come across my review) but I think there are 2 very good reasons why I think it would work better for you. Firstly, I found them to be far too aggressive for what I wanted so the Holydiver is a better fit for me as I'd describe the Holydiver as smooth rather than aggressive and secondly, I always felt that the Nailbomb wopuld work much better in mahogany. Although it's an alnico pickup, don't underestimate just how aggressive this pickup can get but because it's alnico, it will also give you some of the features that make the Holydiver such a good choice.
