OGD :)
« on: May 25, 2012, 12:42:41 PM »
I have owned this guitar for about 15 years, but it was always my backup stage guitar when I was playing professionally, so it hardly ever got used. It lived it's life either being chucked in the back of vans, or on a stand at the back of the stage.

Fast forward to present day, and newer, fancier guitars had been bought, and played, and the New York gathered dust, occasionally being borrowed by a student.

Until, I brought her into the house, from my teaching/recording studio in the garage, in order to practice a bit more.

Long story short, (too late) It's love. She's now my number one, and boy, in't she pretty? (rhetorical)

Fancy changing the bridge pickup though, I'm thinking a tyger stockholm HSP90.

Cheers. Yeah the early ones looked the best IMO.
There was this, a baby blue, a yellow I think, that all looked really nice.
I've never seen or heard of another pink one though.
I've also got a baby blue one which can be seen in action below (don't ask)

I can't see the first picture, but I can (unfortunately) see the second.

Always liked the look of the New York more than the upmarket Eggles, to be honest - small, lightweight, mini-humbucker... cool guitar!  :D

I had a custom New Youk made in the late 90's, i gigged it as my main guitar for near on 10yrs.

Tried to sell it a few months back, glad i didn't though. I now play it more each day!

Great guitars
