Some of these are incredibly moving and, I'm not ashamed to say, had me welling up a little. There are a few that I don't think really belong in that list (and some that should be on there that aren't).

But I agree on your assessment of the first batch. A lot of them could have been summed up as sad/happy people crying.

according to the comments that picture was stage.
I saw some of the aftermath from that riot. They take their Hockey seriously!

No, as much as I like and appreciate the pretty young woman jiggling about in the skimpy black dress, Ian's link is great.

Somehow though they seem wrong to be bundled in to a single page, if you know what I mean.  Each one has such gravitas on it's own, they seem to not sit well together.

From the link I posted at the start of this thread I found other photos that weren't included that others though should have been. The Kevin Carter - Soweto boy/vulture picture came up. I'd never seen it before yesterday and it pretty much depressed me for the rest of the day. I'm assuming others on here have seen it so I won't post it - I don't really want to look at it again.
