Is Coil Tapping available for BKP's?

Hi Everyone, first time in  :D

I'll be ordering some pups soon and was wondering if BKP's can be ordered with coil tapping for that extra grunt when needed?

Additionally, I'll be coil splitting so I'll get the the 4 conductor option so coil tapping on top would make for an extremely versatile setup if possible

Nope, as far as I'm aware coil tapping isn't available I'm afraid  :(

I think a couple of people on the forum have tapped P-90s (or 'Pig 90s, to be specific), but they would've been special orders and I doubt BKP would make them nowadays.

Tapped humbuckers?  Definitely not available.

No harm in asking, but I believe that the company line on modifications away from design spec is simply NO.

Yeah from what I gather, they would do small mods to pickups when they were smaller, but at this moment I think it's too difficult for them to do something like that

Basically if it's not shown as option in the webshop it's custom work. I doubt that coil-tapping is an option BKP offers but only the BKP folks can give you a definite answer on that.

No word yet from Tim, all I can do is hope it may be possible, I just want a single pup.

I'd like Black Dog bridge with the extra winding to load it up to Abraxas style at the flick of a switch and if possible, have 4 conductor so I can coil split also...  :D

Now that's some mighty versatility there if possible!
