Im looking to get that early Page sound (first Zep album) where he uses a telecaster. I was thinking of upgrading to BKP do you think the Yardbirds set would be ideal or should i get sumthing hotter? :D

I've not tried any tele pickups but the Boss set sounds really good from the clips I've heard.

I have not heard the Yardbirds but I would imagine that they'd do the job. My Country Boys are vintage style but they also sing when I crank things up.

another secret ot get that tone is this... place reverb then delay. Doesn't make much sense but do try it and you might be surprised at the results.

I've got a boss set in my tele and I find myself nailing it with a matamp C7, the delay and reverb thing does help too with some of the "echoeyier" bits.
