Pickups for my Strat to get Surf tone

Bit confused, I ordered the apaches with the zinc plated steel baseplates, do the base plates come already attached to the pickups? I'm not fitting them myself :) found a decent guitar tech

That Boss loaded Feline was awesome with a capital A-W-E-S-O-M-E

As to base plates (which will get the Apaches more into surf territory) they should be attached and wax potted on (although here I am working on the practice of another pickup mf here.....)
