Destroyer/Iceman Hybrid?
« on: July 12, 2012, 10:36:11 PM »
Anyone ever seen one of these before? I just picked one up and it's due to arrive in a few weeks! I'm told that it fits an Ibanez wizard 2 neck and I have a spare wizard 3 lying around. Anyone know if it'll fit? Cheers!

Haha thanks :D Well I guess I'll soon find out about the neck! I'll post pics when It's finished. I'm thinking black with the top left natural and finished in some kind of oil.

Make it alpine white with Gold hardware and pickups!
Or a Goldtop! That would be a really nice change from the norm.

Dunno, but enlightenment comes from the Bodhi Tree...

Yeah it's poplar. Goldtop actually sounds like a pretty good idea. Maybe with Tyger covered pickups, Gold hardware and a matching headstock (Or is that kinda overkill?). I've never finished a guitar before, can't wait :D

That actually sounds great! Very original but not too over the top.

I'm kinda of old-fashioned in these things, but I think a Goldtop looks best with cream mounting rings and chrome or nickel covers.

Yeah, fine with the Tyger covers if that's your thing, and matching headstock is always good.  But I think gold hardware on a goldtop could look weird!
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

Ok...Here goes: Gold top, Matching Headstock, Tyger covers (May ask the BKP guys to do me a couple of chrome tiger customs/battleworn chrome) , Cream mounting rings, Chrome Hardware (Bridge, Tuners, volume knob, 3 way Switch, Truss rod cover)
I'm also thinking of making the back cavity covers out of wood, anyone ever done this before?
