Hello guys, I can't believe it's almost 2 years since I've been on this forum! I feel a bit bad that it's to ask a question, but here it goes.
I've got 72 custom re-issue with brown sugar in the bridge and riff raff in the neck. They've been in since 2009 and I put them in myself, i'm looking to tidy up my internal electronics and my 3 way toggle switch has started playing up..so here's my plan.
I'm thinking of fitting a 5 way rotary switch instead (i always knock the toggle) to get a split coil on the humbucker and lots of tones at the turn of a dial.

Here's my problem, how would i go about it on one of those strange switches. I've found this wiring diagram for a normal 5 way switch, but there seems to be a lot more pieces to solder too than a normal 5 way switch.

Any help would be amazing!
p.s I'm also planning to put some orange drops in there and general tidy everything up with cloth wire, new pots and copper insulation. (any ideas/thoughts welcome to crazy mods/ built in effects as well!!!)
Here's the guitar in questions

And here's the headstock that I got signed by Wilko Johnson

Thanks in Advance.
