Speaker Suggestions Please

right well i got an email back from lean, looks like they're out of stock of the taydens i ordered and the delivery they were expecting last week hasn't turned up yet. Looking like (late) next week, unfortunately :( Sorry about that. :)

EDIT: yeah when they get here i can try both of those combos, i have a pair of v128s and a single gb128 on the way.

ah, sorry to bump this, but it looks like the speakers won't be here now until next week (and even that's not guaranteed) :( Just thought i'd better let you know in case you were waiting to hear from me.

You can usually get speakers in either 8 or 16 ohms so you'll be fine. I recommend the Celestion G12h30's with V30's.
For me it's perfect.

I also am a fan of the G12H-30s but with a twist..... Avatar take that speaker and breaks it in for you. They call it the Hellatone. price is $99 a speaker....... It is a Celestion with their label over it. http://www.avatarspeakers.com/ click on speakers and page down to the Hellatones....

right well the speakers finally turned up yesterday :lol:

admittedly very early days and things might change completely when it's broken in, but i wasn't super-fussed on the gb128. Need to try it head to head with a greenback though. really like the v12 though. EDIT: ok so completely disregard what i said about the GB128. :lol: Tried it again today (and versus a greenback) and liked it. :lol:

^ does avatar even ship to the UK? I know they're meant to be great value in the US (they're kinda the stock budget-but-decent cab recommendation on the more USA-orientated guitar forums I post on), but I have a feeling they don't ship outside the US and Canada. Or if they do, postage and VAT/Customs probably erode any savings. :)
