New Pickup Frames Day  :P

Got me a pair of those Seymour Duncan frames where you can switch Parallel / Series or single coil slug or screw coil. Pretty cool, works great and installation is easy. Tomorrow I'll try to crank it a bit and give it a proper review.

We've used the Duncan Triple Shot rings a number of times - works really well where you don't wish to drill holes or use push pull pots.

I prefer to use the 550k pots and Jensen caps so they are invaluable  if you want coil options.

I was hesitating to shell out about 50 bucks for two plastic frames with two switches and a mini tiny pcb.

On the other hand, the value when you use them is great, so why not pay for it. It's great you can install em quickly and not fiddle with wiring schematics that are totally confusing, especially when you have to translate colour codes.

This one was easy enough, and sounds great, too. Plus it is reversible (unless you cut the pickup cables short like I did).

The triple shots are pretty nice indeed. I haven't tried mine out in a band context yet, but I'll hopefully get a chance to soon.

Yeah I just did it manually on my othe LP with a push pull, coz I wanted Parallel/Series switching and had no extra triple shot frame around, and oh my it was annoying the soldering of multiple wires to a mini fiddly lug post on the push/pull. Argggggg

I tried once to fiddle with a push/pull knob in my LP clone. It was no succes!  :D
