A small windfall
« on: August 08, 2012, 06:22:47 PM »
Hey folks

The fµckwits in the accounting department have finally come round to my way of thinking and are paying me the expenses they have owed me for the past 8 months.

£510.90

Since this money has already been absorbed in the budget and Lady Billt doesn't know I've scooped a few bob I'm considering this to be FREE MONEY!

So what should I do with it?

a) Stick it in the savings account. In these times of financial insecurity a wee bit tucked away could come in handy.

b) Get a hotel room for the afternoon and see how Chrissy and Nikki are getting on with their Thai Massage course. This would also include some medicated talcum powder, that they get from their Romanian dog training friend Razor, that they seem to think smells so nice. And a light lunch.

c) Deluxe Reverb RI on ebay

d) A weekend away at a nice hotel in Dorset for The Billts

d) A BJF Honeybee and a Strymon Brigadier from thesegoto11.com

e) Epi korina flying V and a set of Abraxas with gold covers

f) Gibson cherry Flying V on ebay

Any other suggestions?

I think (d), I'm sure Lady Billt deserves it.

Failing that, (f) has gotta be a better bet than (e).  Then save up for the Abraxas set.

Definitely not (a), a nest egg might be handy but you'll get $%&# all interest on it, why bother?

I'll leave Afghan to comment on (b).....
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

I don't understand why you haven't bought a stratocaster already.

Unless there's a telecaster on ebay.

Without any shadow of any doubt I would go for (b) - it could be the most beautiful music you will ever make  :harp:

As Philly and Frank have already spoken with the sound voice of reason...

... I have to say that I agree with Retalaitor - option b) jumps off the page pretty soundly.

Telecasters on eBay!? What nonsense are you on about, man!? Surely that must be a myth!

Alternativly, I've left a deposit on Feline before and he gave me a very happy ending.

Well it looks like I haven't met the entry requirememnts for Dorset

Ian
it seems your definition of a slap up meal and lady Billts definition are not in agreement.
Although it would work out if the slap up meal was a cheap day return to Glasgow, a bus down Argyle Street to the Ashoka West End, a portion of veg pakora, a chicken Rogan Josh, plain rice and 2 pints of Tennants

Not a bad shout as it goes

Bear in mind that some of us can't see the pictures when we're at work Jonathan...

For the moment, I'm just going to assume that Tigger is a cat...

But overall, Clyde, I suspect you might be in safer hands with Chrissy and Nikki, even if this Razor bloke wants to watch... (just to make sure they're using the talculm powder right)
