Hey guys. I've recently given the chance to buy a 2nd hand Manson Modded Fender 72 Custom Deluxe Telecaster.
If anyone doesn't know what that is/who they are...
They are a Guitar Store and workshop in exeter. They make guitars (for example Matt bellamy's guitar is a signature Manson MB-1), sell big brand stuff, and mod guitars and then sell it on.
This tele has been modded with a killswitch, mirror pickguard, a Zvex Fuzz Factory installed inside it!!!... And a Manson MBK-2 pickup set.
This is a set of pickups made by BKP and they are VERY expensive (£125 a pickup). I assume that the price difference is a custom "Manson" pickup cover.
Anyway, there's a hum-sized AIV P90 wound at 7k in the neck and a high output Humbucker wound at 15.9k in the bridge. They don't really give much detail so I would just like to know whether you guys know anything about them...
The humbucker seems like a nailbomb copy to me (except its still made by BKP) and the P90 seems like a manhattan to me...
I guess what I'm wondering is: Are they just Bare Knuckles with another name stuck on them or are they actually different pickups that are made by BKP... Better/equal/worse?

Anyway, back to the original question.
