NPAD!!
« on: August 15, 2012, 08:01:48 PM »
I've been a bit naughty recently. I got myself a credit card so I can help bring up my credit rating (looking to buy my first place soon, it's needed) and to help me do so, I bought a Digitech GSP1101

I've read reviews and heard clips so I was pretty confident with buying it.

I've been using a Line 6 Pod Pro for a little while and while I think it's a good unit, I wanted something up to date that I could also use for recording direct into my computer.

I got it delivered today and I've just finished setting it up and it sounds fantastic. I've yet to hook it up to my rig but for recording it's miles better than the Line 6 Toneport GX I've had to use.

I know this isn't a well written post but I'm a little busy going back and forth between posting and playing. But anyway, yaaay!

Here's a little test I've done. I used my PRS Singlecut Soapbar Satin > GSP1101 > Direct into Reaper.

I used the Jump Panel model with some little EQing. The backing track is not mine but I had it on here so I jammed a little to it.

Nice, very nice! Rhythm guitar sounds great too. But that may have been from the BT.

Can you also get a really open sounding Marshall like lead tone (not the creamy type as demonstrated)?

Yeah you can do quite easily. I'll record some more clips tomorrow showing off more tones including a very nice almost Gilmour type of clean tone and some more bizarre stuff.

Ok guys I've record 3 clips. Only short ones but all are different.

The clean tones and classic marshall tones are played with my Fender Strat and the Metal track is my PRS CE22.
