RWRP wiring question

I'm feeling a bit embarrassed asking this question, but as I've said in another post, I can build and repair valve amps and understand them very well, but pickups sometimes confuse me.

I'm getting ready to order a set of Mother's Milks for my G&L, I generally wire my strats with one volume and one middle & neck tone, and one bridge tone. Does it matter if the middle pickup is RWRP, when you wire them both to the tone pot? More specifically, when you run the jumper wire from the neck to the middle lug on the switch then to the pot?

I was also toying with the idea of one volume for the bridge, a concentric pot for volume on both the middle and neck and a master tone pot. Any suggestions?

No, it doesn't matter at all.  Just keep the tone wires separate from the signal wires and don't short anything out on the switch.  I have strats wired both ways, and with HB's and coil splits, and don't have any issues.

Thanks PhilKing! I can do about anything with a valve amp, but pickups seem to confuse me! Guess I need to remedy that problem. I do know that A4 magnets (closely followed by A5) are my preference. Slightly less output than A5, but fast bass response, and beautiful open, and rich mids and treble. I feel that 90% of "my sound" is in the player, but A4 pickups (Mule, Abraxas, Emerald & Mississippi Queen neck), feel right to me, and inspire me to think outside the box, and to write more frequently. A matter of preference of course. I've never, in over 30 years, wanted to sound just like anyone else. I've always been more interested in developing my own unique sound.

No problem.  There are lots of diagrams out there for pickups, and if you know amps, you should be able to figure them out with a few minutes of looking.  I like the ones at http://www.guitarelectronics.com/

Yeah, amps are straight forward to me. Pickups seem to have little subtle quirks that make them unique. Like Formvar or plain enamel. I'm currently experimenting with different magnets. So far for my style and taste, A4 stands head and shoulders above the others.
