I finally got some cash together & bought a Warpig, I don't think I need to give a longwinded description of how it sounds - lets just say its a beast. I LOVE this pickup!!!

Expect some sound clips very soon - this thing even manages some tasty blues tones.

Good choice, hope you're happy with it. But how the hell did you get to nearly 200 posts before actually owning any BKs?

I think you'll find that that isn't anywhere near the record for posts without getting a pickup :shock:

Oh yeah, it's a warthog you have, isn't it? I would laugh at you and brag about my pigs, but then you'd bring amps up and my self esteem just can't take that.

I ordered a Pig90 (was it the first one?) before they were officially calling them so - I just asked Tim if he could wind me a P90 with the WP look and tone. He delivered it but my SG has the type of P90 that mounts to the scratchplate so it wouldn't work (had to return it).

I've been too skint since then to buy any more pickups so this is the first chance I've had to buy any guitar gear.

I'm now thinking of what will work in the neck - I don't like hot neck pickups (is the stock WP neck p/up pretty much a hot EMG85 type of affair?). A MQ-Pig90 might be the best neck p/up solution, hmm.... :?

me too, be sure to choose a nice metal distortion so the pickup will plenty breath unholy distortions

Hehe, good analogy. Accurate, too, in that when you scratch an itch all it really does is get worse.
