I think I broke my attentuator..
« on: February 17, 2006, 08:04:59 PM »
My Weber Minimass fell off the top of my amp when moving it from one room to another, now it clunks/rattles.. I havent got to open it up yet as the cars in the garage and I cant get to any allen keys, but I wondered if this has happened to anyone else and if it'll be a simple fix? This could be a sign telling me its time to get a hotplate

Sorry if this shoulda gone in Tech, if so please move it.

Cheers

If something is broken inside, it's probably an easy fix with a soldering iron.

Ah ok thats cool, not that its much use when I do use it anyway, but it does keep the volume down a bit as Hot Rod Deluxe have very touchy volume knobs! Its either quiet, loud, or really loud..

So I guess it'll be easy to see whats broke? I'm ok with the soldering iron so it shouldnt be too bad.

Right, it looks like nothings broke off or come unsoldered, theres these two white block things that say "25W4RJ" on em, ones just come un glued from the base it seems. Whilst I'm in here... how hard would it be to install a treble boost? Bainzy I'm looking at you for answers to this as you mod stuff alot it seems  :D
