Laney Ironheart

Do any of you guys have any experience with the Laney Ironheart? (More specifically the IRT60H) I know it's relatively new and for that reason there seems to be a lack of clips/reviews online. The few videos I've seen havent been recorded particularly well so I can't get a good idea of the tone. I'm using a Marshall JCM 2000 DSL 50 at the moment but don't really play it at all to practice with because I can't get a decent metal tone from it at low volumes. I notice the Ironheart has a power soak and you can reduce the wattage to 1W from 60W. I play a lot of thrash metal, Dream Theater, Machine Head, Fear Factory... That sort of stuff as well as a lot of clean styles.

I got one yesterday. Absolutely fantastic. Provides great 6505 style metal tones, just less fizzy. I believe Killswitch Engage has just endorsed the amp. Also great at every other style you can think of. Just check out Jack Thammarat, he plays one. Clean channel is pretty awesome too.

The power soak is ok, but it doesn't sound the best if you have it on 1w and the rest maxed out. Seems to work better if everthing's balanced.

Didn't play it. Price seems ridiculous low for the package. A cheaper alternative would be a good extreme metalpedal like the Emma Pisdywauyot in front of your DSL.

Sounds amazing. Handles 8 strings really well too, which is a bonus if you're into that kind of thing!
