Song advice needed
« on: February 18, 2006, 10:36:21 PM »
In a couple of weeks I'll be getting my SG back with some Nailbombs in, so I thought I'd do a demo for the Players section.  But I've come up with a complete blank of what song to do.  I just can't think of one.

So, anyway.  Has anyone got anything they'd like to hear?  Bear in mind I'm gonna have to use my PODxt, as the only recording time I get at the moment is in the evening after my boy's gone to bed.  I don't think I'd be too popular if I woke him up with the Marshall stack.  ;)

do a classic rock song, a blues song, a hard rock song (80's hair metal type thing) and a modern metal song (metalcore, or something like that) to show us what the versatility's like.

Please.

Don't know if you've heard of them, but I'll suggest an iced earth song. Maybe dark saga. Reasoning is nobody cares (well, I don't) about classic rock, blues or hair metal, and dark saga has both clean and heavy parts, both of which I'd like to hear the nailbomb have a go at.

If you're planning on doing more than one it  would be nice to see (being an SG) what it can make of some ACDC aswell.

To be honest, the point of pickup clips to me is to hear the pickup, so if you just played some clean chords and arpeggios, some simple heavy chord pattern, low gain and high gain, and a simple lead line, I for one would be happy  :)

Other than that, if you want to play a song, I'd wait till you get the guitar back, and see what the sound inspires you to play. Record that!
