93 Les Paul Standard; A5 Warpig, or Rebel Yell?

Got a Les Paul Standard for awhile that I will be using.  I'm playing a heavier style of music, that has both grooving, and articulated picking.   I want the warmth of the A5 but tight and focused bottom end.  Tuning in drop C, using 50-11 gauged strings, and running it through an amp that is really tight. 

 So would like to get some perspectives from those who have experience these.  Thanks.

Having used them before but not in Les Pauls, id've thought a Nailbomb and a Warpig would be a bit too dark in a Les Paul, especially if tuning down.

I have a pair of Rebel Yells in a thicker bodied Tokai Les Paul Custom and I can imagine they'd be good for down tuning as they're a bit brighter than you'd normally expect from a Les Paul style guitar.

Warpigs in a Les Paul would give a huge amount of low end, although probably not the tightest.

A lot depends on the natural tone of the guitar unplugged. If it's a dark Les Paul, Rebel Yells all the way. If it's bright (much brighter than most Les Pauls), Warpigs might be an option.

RY would be great here, I have it and it's very tight, should be fine for down tuning too.

I haven't played the Rebel Yells but they sound like a good choice. But Eric's suggestion of Nailbombs isn't bad either. The Nailbomb bridge in my LP clone is very tight in drop C# and not dark at all.

The Pig has loads of bass, the Rebel Yell will be tight but it really doesn't have much bottom end at all.

Well, as I said, I don't know......  :?  It just seemed to me that "Warpig vs Rebel Yell" is a little odd as an either/or comparison, because they're virtually opposites.

Nailbomb, perhaps, as has already been suggested, although I've never tried a Nailbomb.

Black Dog, maybe?  Not particularly hot, but plenty of low end and they say it's good with dropped tunings or extended scales.

Or what about the new Alnico V Black Hawk?

The nailbomb is cool, though not really what I'm looking for in this particular guitar.  I really really like the Warpig, but I think the RY is going to work out in the situation.  The guitar has a bit of an airy-ness to it, so I think the Warpig is going to increase that element. Thanks for all the input people.  :lol:

For the intended application, Rebel Yell over A-Bomb.
