Guess what??! I like it too :D

The arm-rest looks kinda cute - and it does go well with the finish in my eyes.

And I'm even not minding the headstock so much nowadays.

As to price... aww... who cares?

With both the headstock and the unfinished forearm contour, they're not features I would choose if I was designing a "dream guitar".

But since they're already there, I quite like them.

I would also not have ordered it like this, but when I saw it and read the specs - it had to be mine!  :P

And when I grab it, it feels like it had always been there. Never had that experience before on a guitar.

great looking/sounding guitar. for the record i love the headstock design, it 'works', but the paintwork (too much) on them spoils it, a simple tyler logo would improve it.

Looks wise this is still the coolest, badassest Tyler I've ever seen:

I really like it, including the wacky scratchplate and pickup covers, but I'd like it better if the headstock matched the body.

(What are the Hipshot tuners like, by the way?  I've always thought they look a bit odd.)

I don't like them looks wise, but they work amazingly well, easy to grab with bulky fingers, too. And the ooze quality. Totally open construction. And they are staggered. I'm sure they will last and hold tune a lifetime.

What's the deal with Tyler's, are there standard models that they build? Or is it more like 'we fancy building this body shape with this kind of pickup config today'? Or can you get a proper custom order?

Well James has a few models, Classic, Studio HD, SE, Tylerbaster, Mongoose, Landau, ...

He is building for dealers, and sure you can ask special requests. He won't build anything, but I guess a lot of modifications and special demands can be catered to. Tylers aren't cheap, but they ooze quality, sound and play fantastic and hold their value very well.
