If rock is about sticking to the man - what is country music about?

Sticking it to a close relative?   :P

  Beat me to it!  I was going to say "sticking it to your sister"....

What's ironic is that Frank would have really enjoyed this thread.  :? :D

Well, in his place, I fancy a new Strat  - this one at present (although this is subject to change):

Wow, just catching up on this thread. My view on this is quite simple, I buy what I want with my cash(well I did when I had some... lol) and I couldn't care less what others thought as long as it was what I wanted. On the other hand, when other people buy the things they want I am genuinely happy for them regardless of what it is. What I don't get is when people rag on someone else's good fortune, for the most part I blame the green eyed monster. Whilst that guitar is absolutely awesome and beautiful, personally I would still take Dave's Modern Eagle and I think Dave knows that, but I think it's fantastic that he is getting what he believes to be his dream guitar... doesn't matter to me if it's a £500 guitar or a £50,000 guitar.

Yep, I know you'd take the ME mate.

You'd have to fight Ian Price for it though I think  ;)

I just don't get all this Strat love, I've never got on with them.  Teles are way better if you like Fenders.

IMO, etc etc...

I prefer Teles too.  But with that Strat.... I'm a sucker for a matching headstock, what can I say?

Sandy's nice, but I REALLY love CC#6. Check it out if you can, it is an absolute beauty.

I agree - love the worn-in look, they've really nailed it.

Ok, so I need to raise around £5500 for one of these CC Les Pauls, hmmm.....  Dave, are they hiring at your place? - I'm willing to work my way up
