I don't understand the feelings either.

The guitar doesn't do much for me but I can see the fantastic quality. The price is very high but probably justifiable in many ways.

Cars and guitars at this level share alot as has been mentioned.

Somebody may choose to spend a fortune on a Maybach (which to me is a tarted up Merc) but it's their money and they will own an incredible car.

I'd want a Ferrari.

Dave, enjoy the fruits of your labours and buy what you like.

That Bryan Ewald bloke does good demos - I watched his DGT Standard clip the other day and thought it was much better than the J Hayes one.... and David Grissom's own clip!
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds

I'm not really a fan of any guitar that looks like that, but you know, I do like my PRS. a great man once said "when in rome"

He's certainly got more than his fair share of wood.

(My own wood, of course, is under the bed)

My wood is touring Gloucestershire in the hands of a man called Alex.
Advice worth what you just paid for it.

Enjoy your new guitar Twinfan, its a beaut.I didn't even realise guitars cost more than 3 or 4k (apart from vintage) until i read some posts here and even that is pretty dear, but as someone else pointed out, electric guitars are still pretty cheap when looking at top notch musical intruments in general.Oh and expense is reletive.
Great vid frank if your secretely watching, 63k hits....blimey

Dave, enjoy the fruits of your labours and buy what you like.

A more suitable car analogy I'd have thought is that one bloke might have £150k in a Porsche GT3 RS 4.0 to use on track. It's a cracking thing with a bloody brilliant engine. But eye-wateringly expensive. The next bloke has a Noble M400 that cost maybe £30k. Both cars go around a circuit in a very similar manner. The only real difference between them is that one of them has a shitee load more disposable income that he chooses to spend on the hobby he loves.

I really don't like this envy culture we have in this country. For some reason it's seen negatively for people to spend the money they've earned on nice things. Which is bullshiteeee. Indeed who's to say it's wrong to buy a nice car and just polish it or to buy a nice guitar and hang it on a wall as art. If that's what someone wants to do then so be it. I can live with that. I certainly wouldn't let it bother me.
When you´re racing, it's life. Anything that happens before or after is just pies.

It may be a slightly warped relic but it can still bring a smile to my face in the right hands...
