OOOOF! (That's the sound of me being punched in my musical GUTS!)
« on: September 27, 2012, 08:09:54 PM »
My girl picked up a parcel from my Mum today and brought it home for me... turns out it's the new Devin Townsend album, "Epicloud".

I'm trying VERY hard not to use expletives here, so let me try and get around that... It is well worth the wait, and more than matches my expectations, it is INTERCOURSEing BEAUTIFUL!!!

As soon as I pressed play it was like being beaten around the head with a bat made of pure audio sex.

I have no words, I'm just listening and listening and listening to it and finding it hard to give two *poops* about the neighbours kids being in bed, I just want to crank my speakers up full.

I'm not too manly to admit that, after the utterly balls day I had at work, turning this album on swung me SO HARD in the other direction of the emotional scale that I welled up and almost cried.

In closing, this album is F*$%ing fantastic. Utterly and unabashedly so.

Stunning.

well, i'm not into Devin Townsend, but I know what you mean. When I went to see Uli Jon Roth recently it put a bit of a dampner on the recent improvements i'd made to my playing ;)
