Natural finish on the back?

Hasn't got any stain or pant on it yet Philly
But the maple is that lovely peachy colour - like number 1 was
Tempted to maybe let it stay pretty natural - albeit with a little faint bursting

I thought you were just going for a (possibly lightly-tinted) natural finish.  Only now has it dawned on me it's not shiny.

But I can see how a little faint bursting would probably be just the thing.

al I had done in the pix was to dampen the maple to show up the grain
Once we add a little stain , then sand out it will hopefully bring up the contrast just a little and a little burst too

Will make it look a bit like number 1 looks

she's next up Phil - been working on her already this week - fitting tuners etc
Just about to fit the wraparound bridge which didn't get done when we bulk fitted all the others as it didn't fit the same template for drilling obviously
The batch of 6-9 is interesting because most are spoken for , so I'm really keen to get them done
7 is yours
8 is Mike's (8 is lucky in Chinese numerology so Mike couldn't resist)
9 is mine (9 has a significance to me as my business has pretty much always been located at a number 9)
