I think you should blag a trip somewhere with a decent range to try out.  Could be an excuse for a trip to Denmark Street????

A trip yes, to Denmark street, no... that would cost me 1000GBP

Which translates into 2 pedals + another Tokai LP. So no Denmark street for me.

Could try Bath though ;)

Anyone tried the Line 6 Echo Park digi-delay?

The folks over at http://www.diystompboxes.com seem to like it and they build effects.  Never tried one myself but the clips at Line 6 http://www.line6.com/tonecore/ sound good.

Any opinions out there?

I heard those Line 6 stompboxes could be pretty noisy; also, they require a lot of power if you're planning on using them with a multi-adapter/power unit. Of course, this is just what I've heard, and a lot of people seem to have a pretty big prejudice against Line 6 for some reason. :?

Hmm it seems after all that the DMM is the best option in the 120-150GBP price bracket

In that price range you are pretty limited.

Line 6 I abhor due to the Spider amp I owned but tonecore seems to be OK, and I am considering the rotary speaker sim.

Marshall have released a new echo that looks interesting and quite cheap (and their new reverb looks nice too reverse reverb Oh Yes)

Berhenger still havn't release their sub 30 UKP delay (2.5 second delay)

I have a Boss DD6 which is OK but I like old analogue delays that allow you to get really silly by playing with the regneration and delay knobs. Unfortunitely most digital delays simply can't do anything worthwhile and at best make a sad sort of noise that sounds somthing like "Fweep"

If you want warmth then go for analogue, if you want versatility digital is probably the direction.
