Suggestions for a G&L Rampage (Jerry Cantrell Sig)
« on: October 15, 2012, 04:40:03 PM »
Greetings,

I've just pulled the trigger on a G&L Rampage Jerry Cantrell Signature Model. Specs included:

Body style - Double-cutaway solid body

Body wood - Soft maple

Neck - Bolt-on hard rock maple

Fingerboard - Ebony

Bridge - Kahler 4300 X-Trem tremolo

Now I'm in the hunt for a replacement bridge pick-up. Style I'm going for is Metal/Djent/Shred/Pantera you know the rest...I've narrowed it down to either a Painkiller or an Aftermath, which do you think is the best choice based on this being an all Maple guitar.

Cheers,

Duke

miracle man is known for working really well on maple bodies

I'd still pick a holy diver or black dog, anyway, unless you have a frakkin messu' poopie rectalfire
Riff Raff, Mules, Black Dog, VHII's, Cold Sweat

I lean towards the vintage-y range, so I agree with BD or HD. Just up to you how hot you want it.
