BKP Names corresponding to Songs
« on: October 29, 2012, 12:36:37 PM »
So I always wondered (after figuring out that certain of Tims pickups got their names from famous songs) which pickup got his name after which song?

I know the following:

Holydiver - DIO Holydiver
Miracle Man - Ozzy Miracle Man
Painkiller - Judas Priest Painkiller
Rebel Yell - Billy Idol Rebel Yell

Any other PUs I don't know about? :)

Cheers

There's a big list on here somewhere - a quick search should find it  :)

However there are some names missing... how about the Blackhawk and the Aftermath?

They're fairly new so missed the thread.  I think the Blackhawk is named after the helicopter (in reference to the blades), I'm not sure about the Aftermath.

Probably just because it destroys anything in its path, and when the dust settles, you have the aftermath!

I don't know.

I think MDV named the Aftermath, he had what was effectively a prototype model.

I'm not sure if it's named after a song or album, but it would probably be by some extreme metal band I've never heard of.

Yeah, I got the first whatbecametheaftermath when it had no name, and love origin. Well done sarkasis!

AFAIK the first track recorded with an AM (the one that got it the name). You should probably just listen to Origin, but you'll get the idea what the hell was going through what passes for my mind.

The only one thats not named for a song or band is the blackhawk. Philly has observed that they both the pickup and helicopter have blades (8 of em), and tim said something similar and its got 'black' in it and sounds cool.
