Carvin C66 need help
« on: November 05, 2012, 04:56:40 AM »
Anyone could help me? Thanks a lot! I just ordered Carvin C66 with FT6 fixed bridge, and I want to change pickups to BK,which bridge spacing should I choose 50mm or 53mm, really confused about it, because I can not rule it, it is being built now, and length of leg should be short, right? The C66 is alder body maple top and maple neck and fingerboard, I may choose the Crawler, but Rebel Yell is also good for my ear, which one should be better for the woods combination, first time touching BK, sorry about a lot of questions.

Just send a email or call the BKP-team. They will answer your questions.

What kind of music you play and what amp you use? Which tones you're looking for?

If we know this we can a better recommendation. You mention the Crawler and the Rebel Yell. They represent both ends of the tonal spectrum in the contemporary range. The Crawler is fat and middy with a round topend. The Rebel Yell has a lot of agressive uppermids and is quite bright. With all the maple in your guitar the RY will be (too) bright.
Mules, VHII, Crawler, MM's, IT's, BG50's.
