Just wondered if you'd had a go at swapping the valve in the micro terror? I imagine it's a cheap chinese valve and I'm wondering what difference it would make.

I've not tried tbh. I'll have a dig through my valve box and see if I have anything that will fit.

To be honest. I joined the micro terror club today based on this post and previously playing one and talking to Tony about em. I just wondered if anyone had tried it. Info on the web seems limited.

Just tried mine with a few valves.
The Sovtek 5751 sounded good. It's meant to have less gain than a 12AX7 which sounds about right, but the whole little amp sounded louder with that in.
I did stick in a Sovtek 12AX7LP (similar to a JJ ECC803S with the longer plates) in there and it actually sounds killer. Playing it through a 4x12 with V30's. It's actually mindblowing.
