bkp vhii suitable for mahogany bodied kramer
« on: November 19, 2012, 02:31:39 PM »
Hi guys, New here but previous owner of miracle pickups.  :D

I recently picked up a Kramer pacer classic which has rubbish electrics.

I got this guitar for playing van Halen stuff without thinking he used an ash body most of the time.
Was thinking of trying the bkp vhii in the bridge. How will it work with the mahogany bodied Kramer?

I will upgrade pots and caps too. Maybe the tern too even tho it stays in tune just fine. The Kramer Floyd may be robbing some high end but can't say for sure just what I've read online.

So what you reackon? Cheers

I like VHII's, even in mahogany, as they sound rockin' in LP's. There are certainly other routes you can take though.

Should be no problem. The VHII already sounds good in my Fender American Series HSS strat, so it will for sure in your Kramer. The VHII is quite focussed and balanced.

don't forget you have that maple neck which will tighten things up a bit and make it brighter. if you fancy a VH2, it will definitely sound good there I think.
