Warpig bridge + Mississippi neck = ???

Hey all, this is my first post, first time considering swapping pickups, first foray into bare knuckle, etc....
So, to get to the point, I have a Gibson Explorer (mahogany) which is all stock pretty much, I really like stoner rock/metal tones (think The Sword which is what I would like the most but I'm guessing a lot has to do with his metal muff and orange amps, Baroness, Mastodon, Clutch and maybe even Sleep) so I found out about the Warpigs which apparently are the "go to pickups" for stoner tones (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong) but I would also like to be able to play some classic rock as well with the same guitar so I've been considering adding the MQ in the neck, what do you guys think?

Would it be a good combination or would I find that I'd never use the middle position (both pickups on)? Would this combo be good for thrash as well? (Master of Puppets era Metallica for example)

A lot of my dirt comes from pedals actually (Blackout Effectors Musket and Skreddy Zero  for example) if that makes any difference, I like fuzz hehe

It's a briliant combo in an Explorer - I have it myself!  I also put a series/parallel switch on the Warpig.  I use all the settings and think it will do all you want.  The only thing that I would mention, is that the MQ is a P-90 and as such has some hum (though nothing like a Strat or Tele), which your pedals might bring out more.

Good to know! I also have a Tele and a Strat so hum is not something I'm too worried about (I'm used to it, not a big problem so far though  :D). I have a question though, what do you find yourself using the MQ more for? Anything in particular? What about the series/parallel switch?

I'm more of a classic rock and blues player, but every time I pick up the explorer and have the Warpig on, I always have to play some Black Sabbath!  It nails the tones from the first few albums (especially through my Silver Jubilee), and then the MQ is excellent for the mellower sounds (like Sleeping Village or Behind the Wall of Sleep).  The parallel is great for arpeggiated chord work, where you want a bit more note separation.  This is also a great setting with both pickups, giving a boost but keeping the clarity.  I got raw nickel covers on my pickups, here they are and also my junior, with a Pig-90.

That Explorer looks real classy.

To OP: I have played the MQ neck which is nice for overdriven tones since it has tight bass and quite a lot of output. I don't have it anymore though as I was looking for a different tone with that guitar. Never played a Warpig so I cannot comment on it or how it would work with the MQ neck.
