Complementary neck single coil for vhii humbucker
« on: December 05, 2012, 07:49:18 PM »
I'm set on a vhii in the bridge for my strat for classic rock and van halen style stuff. Looking for a single coil in the neck that's warm and still sounds like a strat but won't have a dramatic drop in volume

I'm loving my Slowhand Single in the neck. Doesn't lose it's strat character but still sounds warm enough to produce a nice fluid lead tone :)

Slowhand or an IT if the natural voice of your guitar is not very bright. The IT sounds quite full in my swampash strat -> Orange Rockerverb 50 head/cab.

Yea was looking at the Irish tour. It's not particularly bright for a strat, has a really weighty body
