HSS with auto split AND 50s style wiring?
« on: December 11, 2012, 03:09:31 PM »
Hi,

Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere, but does anybody have a diagram for a one vol, one (master) tone strat type & 5 way selector with auto coil tap for the bridge HB plus the '50s style wiring' I've seen online for Strats & Les Pauls? I'm aware of the diagrams on this site, but not sure if there is a way to incorporate this type of wiring, which does a lovely job of keeping the tone clear when the volume isn't at 10.

Hope I've phrased this so it makes sense!

Thanks,

RB

That's easy. Start with this diagram: https://bareknucklepickups.co.uk/main/downloads/schematics/general/hsh_hss/hss__1_vol__1_tone__5_way_with_auto_coilsplit.pdf

See the blank wire between the volume input and the tone control? Just move the wire from the volume input to the volume wiper and you have the 50s wiring.
